Young Pirates Xmas Dreams Come True

As many of you know, the benefits of being a member of the Young Pirates are many and varied. One of the attractions, is the draw to become match day mascot. Every member of the Young Pirates can put their name in the draw free of charge at every home match by visiting the Young Pirates match day room opposite the West Stand turnstiles.

The lucky winner chosen to be mascot for our match on Boxing Day was 11 year old Tom Warren.
Tom attends Wellsway school, Keysham. He plays football for Frys u12's as a central midfielder or left back and has supported Rovers since he was 6 years old. In addition to Rovers, his hobbies include playing tennis and listening to music, citing Kaiser Chiefs and Gorillaz amongst his favourite groups. His favourite current Rovers player is James Hunt.

The mascot for New Years Eve was Carl Malpas.
Carl is 9 years old and attends Eastington primary school. He lists his hobbies as football and karate and he plays for Stonehouse town youth u9's team as a left sided midfielder and has scored four times in nine games. Carl is also a green belt at Wado-Ryu karate and is a boy scout. His favourite players are Junior Agogo and Craig Disley.
